The Caxa Real

It was the most important civil construction made in the colonial Comayagua. Unfortunately, its remains are very little due to a lot of serial damages. First, because of the 1774 earthquake, then, because of a fire that caused big damages that left the building in a total abandon phase starting in the year 1840. Eventually, what was left got destroyed and so in its interior a basketball court was made. During the post-independence season it served as the government house. Today, the only thing left is its facade like a testimony of its greatness.
